My name is Rob. I started this site after seeing a news story about bed bugs on TV. The topic fascinated and disgusted me. I looked up bed bugs on the internet and after I learned more about them than any normal person really needs to know, I decided to put up this site. I do a lot of writing and I’m handy with technology so it was a fun project. I have been writing for and improving the site ever since I started in 2006.
There is a lot of great bed bug information on the internet. Too bad most of it is poorly organized and difficult to read!

One of my objectives with this site is to connect you with the information you are looking for as quickly as possible and to give it to you in the most easy-to-use way. The site has a long way to go but I work on it daily to make it more useful to you.
The overall problem we are seeing with bed bugs can’t be solved by one person in isolation. Even if I do everything right and protect myself and my home, I could still pick bed bugs up elsewhere or somebody else could bring them in. This means more people need to be aware and do the right things.
All of us have to work together.
I’m not a health expert, a pest control professional, a legal professional or an entomologist — I’m a technology professional that moonlights as a webmaster. That being said, I’ve been covering this topic in depth for years now. My information comes from the media, professional texts, government and academic sources, other websites and exchanges with pest control professionals.
How This Site Is Supported
Completely Free to You
The first thing to understand is that this site is completely free for you to use. Nobody has to pay to access the content here. I provide this site because I enjoy writing and I love being able to connect people with the resources they need to solve their problems. (And also because I don’t want to get bed bugs due to other people’s bad habits!)
I do not sell anything directly at BedBugInfo.com. In fact, BedBugInfo.com supports itself in much the same way a free newspaper does — through advertising and affiliate relationships.
Good job.
Thanks. – Kevin G
Advertising
I host Google AdSense ads on my site. Advertisers create and submit ads to Google. I run a little script on my site to display those Google ads. Google is able to tell what the content on my web pages is and serve ads that are similar. This way, when you are reading about bed bug insecticides you will likely see ads for bed bug insecticides. If you click on one of those ads, you go to that advertiser’s site and I may be paid a small commission.
Affiliates
On some pages, you might see references to products such as bed bug insecticides, dusts, interceptors or other products. Sometimes those products link out to other websites when I can find a good online supplier. In some cases, I have an affiliate relationship with those online suppliers and if you click across to their website and purchase the product, I may make a commission on that. To be clear though — this does not increase the amount a product costs you in any way.
How to Get in Touch
I’m always eager to hear your feedback. Whether you have new ideas for the site, want to point out a typo or share a fascinating bed bug story–please get in touch here. Although I can’t promise to respond, I read every email.
Thanks,
Rob
